ATTENTION: NEW PARENT ORIENTATION NEXT FALL
Next fall we are not having our traditional back to school Parent Orientation night. Instead we are having a “Meet and Greet” session with each family just before school starts. This will be a great time to get to know the needs of your child and to help us get better acquainted with each family. Watch for a letter from your child’s teacher giving you information on when your conference is scheduled. Also watch for an email/letter from the Preschool Office in the summer that will give you the new calendar for next year and other important information for the beginning of school in the fall.
Our spring fundraiser was a huge success. Thank you to all those who helped in any way; especially Kim Plute and the Parent Fundraiser Committee. It takes a huge amount of effort to provide this fun time for families every year. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and that your children did too. Remember that after expenses for the picnic are paid for, all proceeds go directly to the school to be used in the classrooms
FOR SNOW REMOVAL
We are offering an scholarship for half off tuition for a lucky family willing to shovel our snow at the preschool. This job includes shoveling the walkway leading to the front door, the steps joining the walkway and a strip of parking lot for people to walk on right next to the building. The parking lot is handled by a snow removal company. If you are interested, please contact Julie in the office.
LUNCH BUNCH” AND “EARLY MORNING CARE” ENDING
The last day for Lunch Bunch is Friday, May 13th. Early Morning care after this is only on and “as needed” basis. You must prepay for it in the office and make arrangements with the early morning care teacher to use it. Please check with Carol/Kim in the office and pay any money owed for Lunch Bunch, tuition and Early Morning Care.
END OF YEAR PROGRAM
The children perform an end of the year program upstairs in the Sanctuary on Thursday and Friday, May, 26 and 27th. Morning programs begin at 9:15 a.m. and afternoon classes begin at 12:30 . All parents, grandparents etc. are invited to attend. Plan to drop your children off in class at the regular time and then go upstairs to wait for the program to begin. The children typically get upstairs about fifteen minutes after dropoff time. When the program is over we dismiss school by going outside for light refreshments and “ringing of the church bell.” This tradition symbolizes the end of another school year. Your children then go home with you for the summer.
A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Thanks to parents and teachers for your wonderful support this year. We love your children and love what we do here at Wasatch Preschool. For those of you who leave for Kindergarten, we will miss you and wish you the best. For the rest of you, we hope you enjoy the summer break and we will see you soon! “Hope is a state of mind, not of the world. Hope, in this deep and powerful sense, is not the same as joy that things are going well, or willingness to invest in enterprises that are obviously heading for success, but rather an ability
